The Model 'A' Ford was the replacement for the famous Model 'T' and came into production in 1927. Some 2.3 million being produced during the 1930's. The car had a 4 cylinder 2033cc. engine and brakes on all four wheels. The Woody Wagon version was very popular right up to the 1950's especially with the Californian surfers. |
Ford built in England in Dagenham from 1930 on the basis of the American-developed model A cars and vans that were given the name Ford model A and AA. In America, the production of the Ford model A had already started in 1928 and turned out to be a huge success. Also popular were the versions with a partly wooden body, the "Woody".
