The Model 'A' Ford was the replacement for the famous Model 'T' and came into production in 1927. Some 2.3 million being produced during the 1930's. The car had a 4 cylinder 2033cc. engine and brakes on all four wheels. The Woody Wagon version was very popular right up to the 1950's especially with the Californian surfers.

Ford built in England in Dagenham from 1930 on the basis of the American-developed model A cars and vans that were given the name Ford model A and AA. In America, the production of the Ford model A had already started in 1928 and turned out to be a huge success. Also popular were the versions with a partly wooden body, the "Woody".

The van versions are found in a range of tradesman's liveries including A&J Box, Carter's Seeds and others. They are all of fairly low value.
